Safety Docs has been developed by of two long-time mates, Peter Corkill and Andy Corson. Peter and Andy ventured into the health and safety field to provide quality health and safety consulting. Their goal is to simplify health and safety for businesses. Their pragmatic approach cuts through complicated industry jargon and legislation speak, making it easy to implement effective safety systems.

Peter Corkill
Peter brings 40 years of experience from some of New Zealand’s largest industrial and commercial sectors. This includes steel mills, refineries, and the maritime industry. With a Level 6 Diploma in Health and Safety, he combines expertise with practical advice and clear communication. His background ensures that resources are grounded in real-world application. Excelling in implementing safety management systems for small and medium-sized businesses, he also operates Northland Health and Safety Solutions.
Peter Corkill
Andy Corson
Andy’s journey began amidst plant and machinery in his family’s furniture manufacturing and tubular engineering business. He enjoyed a long career working in many roles in the tourism sector before moving in to health and safety consulting. Regarded as an industry expert and leader in health and safety in tourism, he also specializes in working with small to medium size businesses. Andy holds a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. He has attained NZISM Professional accreditation, Cert.IOSH accreditation, and is a HASANZ registered health and safety consultant. Additionally, Andy is qualified in adult learning and teaching, ensuring our resources are accessible and easy to understand.
